Crackington Cottage is in Box's Shop, Cornwall. It's a little hamlet inland, but from the property you can see the sea. There’s a small communal garden you can sit in.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs is the living space, kitchen and dining area. It's open plan with a vaulted ceiling and a door you can open onto a Juliet balcony. That’s where you get the views.
The rating is 3 Star. It’s clean and comfortable. Because it's a converted barn, the inside stairs going up to the living area are quite steep. You should just be aware of that if you have any mobility issues.
Widemouth Bay beach is about a mile and a half away. It’s a good sandy beach. The southern end is dog friendly all year round. Bude is a short drive, maybe ten minutes. It's a proper seaside town with shops, cafes, and a leisure centre with a pool. Crackington Haven is a bit further along the coast, maybe twenty minutes by car. It's a smaller cove with good walking.
For walks, you’re on the edge of the National Trust Cornwall coastline and the Cornwall National Landscape. The South West Coast Path is accessible from several points nearby.
Facilities are all there: parking, towels, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. You can bring up to two dogs.
