Orchard House can be found in the pretty village of Thornton le Dale within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. There is plenty of work top space from where to prepare delicious evening meals and more than enough storage for your holiday essentials. The dining table offers great views of the garden and is the perfect spot to enjoy a hearty English breakfast before heading out for the day or to gather together on an evening for a celebratory evening meal. This social space enjoys a comfortable seating area with deep filled sofas and armchairs. Here you can enjoy a coffee and a chat whilst watching others do the cooking! To the front of Orchard House is a cosy sitting room decorated in tones of purple and with a warming gas fired stove. With deep filled sofas and Smart TV enjoy a family night in after a long day exploring the National Park. The ground floor accommodation is completed by a WC.
Take the stairs to the first floor and find three stunning bedrooms; the Butterfly Room offers twin beds and fitted wardrobes, the Yellow Room a double bed and fitted wardrobes and the master super king-size zip and link bedroom has the luxury of an en-suite walk-in shower room and a private dressing room. All three bedrooms are beautifully presented and offer luxury soft furnishings. Across the hall is the stunning house bathroom with walk-in shower and roll top bath. The thatched cottage by the babbling beck in Thornton le Dale is one of the best-loved sights in the whole of the National Park. Dalby Forest sits behind the village and offers miles of walking and cycling opportunities and for the more adventurous why not swing from the treetops and enjoy the Go Ape experience? The magical moorland of the National Park is waiting to be discovered and is a haven for wildlife. It also offers wonderful star gazing opportunities as well as many small hamlets and villages to explore.
A must visit is the market town of Pickering, home to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough. The iconic Castle Howard, home of ITV’s Brideshead Revisited is just a twenty-minute drive away and the historic walled City of York only forty minutes away.
