Westward Ho is a cottage in Inner Hope, Devon. It's one of a little terrace called Anchor Cottages, about 100 yards from the beach at Hope Cove.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable. The stairs are mentioned as being steep and narrow in the official description, so you'll want to bear that in mind.
The living room is upstairs. It's an upside-down layout so you get a better view from the first floor. There's a small sitting-out area off the living room with some furniture.
You're right in the village. There's a shop about 50 yards away and a couple of pubs and restaurants within a short walk. The beach is mostly sand and shingle. It's good for swimming, or you can fish or mess about in boats from there.
If you like walking, the South West Coast Path runs right through. You can walk to Thurlestone one way or towards Salcombe the other. Thurlestone is about two miles west and has a big sandy beach and a golf course. Salcombe is four miles away. It's a proper sailing town with shops and places to eat. Kingsbridge is a bit further inland and has a leisure centre and a museum.
For a day out, Dartmoor is under an hour's drive. Plymouth and Exeter are both within reach if you want a city. There are a lot of National Trust properties around if that's your thing.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site and an enclosed garden.
