The Farmhouse is in Lamas. It's a semi-detached house on what used to be a working farm. There are fields on two sides and a lane down to the river at the back.
It sleeps eight, four bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. That's the only bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard.
The place belonged to the owner's family. You can tell because of the old pamment and flagstone floors. They've kept the character but made it comfortable. There's a wood burner in the main living room.
The kitchen is a proper farmhouse kitchen. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. French doors from the living room lead out to the garden. It's a good size and looks out over fields to the church.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's on site parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate.
From the house, you can walk down the lane to the River Bure. It's quiet. The village shop and a pub are in Buxton, about a mile and a quarter away.
By car, you can get to Wroxham in fifteen minutes. That's where you hire boats for the Broads. Norwich city centre is about twenty-five minutes. The coast at Mundesley is roughly half an hour.
If you like walking, the Norfolk Broads are on the doorstep. For days out, the Blickling Hall estate and Felbrigg Hall are both within a thirty minute drive.
