The Dairy At Spratts Green Farm

This is The Dairy at Spratts Green Farm. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. Five Star rating, which just means it's been done to a high standard. It's a converted old farm building next to our house, but it's completely private.

It's on the edge of Burgh next Aylsham. That's in Norfolk, about a mile from Aylsham town itself. You're in the fields here, so it's quiet. You can see the countryside from the front windows.

The building is from the 1800s. We kept some of the old bits inside, like the beams and an old bread maker. There's a wood burner in the living room. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with more beams. One bathroom with a shower.

Outside, there's a spot for a small table and chairs. You're welcome to bring one dog. There are footpaths from the door into the fields, which is handy for walks.

The Bure Valley Railway footpath is about a five minute walk away. You can follow that into Aylsham, or the other way towards Wroxham. You can sometimes hear the steam train from the cottage.

Aylsham has shops, a supermarket, pubs and cafes. It's a quick drive or about half an hour on foot using the path.

In terms of days out: Blickling Hall is ten minutes by car. Felbrigg Hall is about twenty. The north Norfolk coast, like Cromer, is roughly half an hour away. The Broads are about the same drive, with boat hire in Wroxham.

What's here: There's a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. Wood for the burner is provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
