From here, hire a bicycle and take the delightful Camel Trail to the market town of Wadebridge, passing through woodland, riverside and seascapes.
The vistas from Pentire Point and Trevose Head along the Heritage Coast are sublime, whilst a short journey northward will bring you to pretty Port Isaac, the ‘home’ of Doc Martin. Watersports are popular along this part of Cornwall, from surfing to swimming in the turquoise waters of the Celtic Sea. For sheer beauty, this stretch of the British Isles has much to offer. The vibrant town of Newquay lies to the south-west, with its many bars and restaurants, zoo and all-weather aquarium. Take surfing lessons from the many schools here, as you choose any one of the twelve beaches to enjoy.
