The Knott

The Knott is a cottage in Silverdale. It's semi-detached, one of three in a small terrace. Sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's comfortable and clean.

The main room is open plan, kitchen, living and dining all together. The stairs go up from there. Three bedrooms upstairs: one kingsize, one double with its own shower room, and a twin room. There's also the main family bathroom with a bath.

Outside, there's an enclosed garden with a patio and some furniture. You get one private parking space.

You can bring up to two dogs. We include all the bedding and towels. There's WiFi, a TV, dishwasher and a woodburning stove. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

Silverdale itself is quiet. It's in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coast and some good woodland walks start practically from the door. You can walk to the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss if you like birdwatching. Jenny Brown's Point is a nice spot for a stroll by the water.

Arnside is about ten minutes away by car. The walk up Arnside Knott gives you a great view over Morecambe Bay. There are a couple of pubs and cafes there.

If you want to use it, you can pay to access the leisure facilities at Silverdale Holiday Park. That's the indoor pool, sauna and steam room.

For a bigger day out, the southern Lake District is within half an hour's drive. Grange-over-Sands and Cartmel are close. The Arnside & Silverdale AONB website has details on local walks and places to visit.
