Sailing By
Sailing By is a one-bedroom apartment on the first floor at Tewitfield Marina. It’s for two people. You get a private balcony that looks right out over the marina. It’s glass-fronted so you can sit inside and watch the boats if the weather's bad.
The place is modern and clean. It’s got a 4 Star rating. All the bedding and towels are included. It’s open plan. There’s a kitchen area with a dishwasher and washing machine, then the living space with a sofa and TV. The bedroom has a kingsize bed. The bathroom has a shower. We have an electric vehicle charger on site.
We accept one dog. The immediate area around the marina is good for walking them on a lead. For off-lead runs, you’d need to drive a few minutes.
The marina is quiet. The Longlands Hotel is next door if you want a meal or a drink without driving. Carnforth is about ten minutes away by car, or you can walk along the towpath. It has supermarkets and shops. Greenlands Farm Village is just across the main road. It’s a farm with a café, a play barn for kids, and some craft shops.
You’re in a good spot here for getting out. Morecambe is about eight miles away for the seaside. Lancaster is under ten miles. For walking, you’re right on the edge of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Lancaster Canal towpath is right there.
The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both within a thirty minute drive. It makes it easy for a day trip to either.
