The Pepperpot

The Pepperpot is a two-up two-down cottage in Silverdale village. It's painted white with a grey slate roof. You get the whole place to yourselves, with a small enclosed garden at the back.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms: one double, and one with twin beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so they're a bit steeper than in a modern house.

Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a downstairs loo. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the drive.

You're right in the village, so you can walk to the local shop and the pubs. The coast and woods are on your doorstep. For a good walk, Jenny Brown's Point is popular. RSPB Leighton Moss is just down the road for birdwatching.

Arnside is about five minutes by car. You can walk up Arnside Knott for the views. Morecambe Bay is right there.

If you fancy using a pool, you can pay to access the leisure facilities at Silverdale Holiday Park. It's a short walk away and has an indoor pool, sauna and steam room.

For planning days out, the Arnside & Silverdale AONB website is useful. The southern Lake District is within half an hour's drive.
