Dunlin Haven

Dunlin Haven is a house in Sandside. It's detached, on its own bit of land. The main thing is the view. You're right across the water from Morecambe Bay.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are quite steep, just so you know.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed patio area and a big balcony with glass panels. Both look out over the woods and sea.

Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a dishwasher and washing machine, and parking on the drive.

The village itself is quiet. There's a local pub. Arnside is a few minutes down the road, it's got a couple of cafes, shops and a decent chippy. For a bigger supermarket, you'd go to Milnthorpe, about a ten minute drive.

You're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For walking or birdwatching, it's very good straight from the door. The coast is accessible. The beach at Sandside is about a mile away.

Levens Hall is famous for its topiary gardens, that's about ten minutes by car. The local caravan park in Silverdale has a leisure club you can use, with a pool and sauna, which is useful if the weather turns.

You can be in the southern Lake District, around Bowness and Windermere, in half an hour. The Yorkshire Dales are about the same distance the other way. Lancaster and Morecambe are also close by.
