The Barn
The Barn is on the edge of Silverdale, in Lancashire. It's a detached stone barn conversion. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's two bathrooms, which is handy.
It's a five star place, so it's all been done to a high standard. It's warm and clean. The stairs are normal. Everything works as you'd expect.
Downstairs is one big room for the kitchen and dining table, then a separate living room with a wood burner. There's also a games room with a pool table. Upstairs, there are two king size beds and one twin room. The two king rooms have TVs.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. You can park two cars off the road.
As part of your stay you get to use the leisure club at Silverdale Holiday Park. That's got an indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room. It's about a five minute drive.
Silverdale itself is part of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coast and woods are right there. For birdwatching, RSPB Leighton Moss is nearby. Arnside village is about a ten minute drive and has a few shops and pubs. You can walk up Arnside Knott for a good view.
It's about half an hour's drive to places like Grange-over-Sands, Carnforth, or the southern edge of the Lake District. Morecambe Bay is on the doorstep.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
