Sandpiper

It's called Sandpiper and it's in Tewitfield, just by the Lancaster Canal. It's semi-detached, one of a row of cottages at the marina.

It sleeps four. Two doubles, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star grade, so everything is there and it's in good shape.

The main living area is open plan with a kitchen at one end. The main bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor. The stairs go up to a mezzanine level where the second bedroom and main bathroom are. That bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The garden is accessed from the ground floor bedroom.

Being by the marina means you're at the end of the navigable canal. It's quiet. You can walk along the towpath or just watch the boats. There's an electric vehicle charger on the driveway.

You're in between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. They're both about half an hour's drive away, depending on traffic. The Arnside and Silverdale area is also very close for walking. Carnforth is nearby with its station heritage centre. Kirkby Lonsdale is a short drive for shops and cafes.

Facilities are straightforward. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
