The B Hive At Buckstone House
This is The B Hive, a cottage at our place in Tewitfield, Lancashire. It used to be the hayloft for the farm. We've done it up. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms.
It's a detached building at the end of a long driveway. You get private parking for two cars. There's an electric car charger if you need it. The garden is yours to use. There's a hot tub, and a raised deck with outdoor furniture.
Inside, the kitchen and dining table are on the ground floor. Up the stairs is the living room. It's got a high vaulted ceiling, a wood burner, and doors out to a small balcony. There's a desk area in there too, if you need to work. The bedrooms are both quite big, with super king sized beds. One bathroom has a big walk-in shower, the other has a shower and a freestanding bath.
It's quiet here. You can walk along the Lancaster Canal from the lane. There's a farm shop and cafe about a ten minute walk away, at Greenlands Farm Village. The Longlands Inn is a short drive for pub food.
Carnforth is the nearest proper town, a five minute drive. It's got shops and cafes. The station there is famous from the film Brief Encounter.
You're in a good spot for getting out. The Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about a fifteen minute drive. The Lake District, like Windermere, is about half an hour north. The Forest of Bowland is to the south, maybe thirty five minutes.
Practical stuff: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
