Tower Cottage
Tower Cottage is in Arnside, which is in Cumbria but not really in the Lakes. It's on the coast, looking out over Morecambe Bay. The village is about a five minute walk from the cottage.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is attached to a bedroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating. It’s modern inside, everything works. There's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The stairs are fine, normal stairs. You can park two cars off the road.
You can take two dogs. The garden is yours, but it’s not huge. It's enclosed.
Arnside has a few shops, cafes, and pubs. You can walk along the promenade to the pier. For a proper walk, Arnside Knott is right there. It’s steep but the view from the top is good. You can see the whole bay. The RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss is about a ten minute drive if you like birds.
You get included access to the leisure club at Silverdale Holiday Park. That’s a five minute drive. It has an indoor pool, a sauna, and a steam room.
If you want a day out, Grange-over-Sands is about fifteen minutes by car. Kirkby Lonsdale is about half an hour. The Lake District proper, like Windermere or Ambleside, is about forty minutes’ drive depending on traffic.
For planning, the Arnside & Silverdale AONB site has good walking information. The National Trust for the Lake District covers the wider area.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
