Almond Cottage

Almond Cottage is in Allithwaite, Cumbria. It's a small village, quiet. The cottage sleeps three, in two bedrooms. One's a double, one's a single. It has a 4 Star rating.

It's a traditional cottage. You come in through the back door into the kitchen. There's a Belfast sink, a fireplace, and a dining table. It's got everything you need. The living room has another fireplace and a Smart TV. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn and are a bit steep.

The main bedroom is a good size with a view over the fields towards Morecambe Bay. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.

Outside there's a south-facing patio. It gets the sun in the morning, good for a coffee.

The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. There's a village shop a quarter of a mile for basics.

You can walk into Grange-over-Sands along the lane, it takes about half an hour. Or it's a few minutes in the car. Cartmel village is two miles away. The priory is there, and the racecourse. The Lake District National Park starts a short drive away. Lake Windermere is about nine miles.

Within half an hour you can be at Windermere, Bowness, or Kendal. For walks, there's Grizedale Forest. For a day out, there's Holker Hall or Sizergh Castle, which is National Trust.

The cottage has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
