Paddy's Cottage is on the main street in Flookburgh. It's stone-built and over three floors, so there's quite a bit of space. You get a courtyard out the back, and a big outbuilding that's handy for bikes or wetsuits.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms. One is on the first floor with two single beds that can zip together into a big double if you prefer. The bathroom is on that floor too, with a bath and a separate walk-in shower. The second bedroom is up another flight of stairs in the loft. It's got a kingsize bed. The stairs to it are steep, like most cottage loft stairs.
The village has what you need: a shop, a Post Office, a chip shop, and a pub that does food. It's a proper old fishing village. Cartmel is two miles away for the priory, the racecourse, and some very good food shops. Grange-over-Sands is about three miles, nice for a stroll along the prom.
You're well placed here. Morecambe Bay is on your doorstep for walks and birdwatching. The southern Lake District is about a 20-minute drive. Lake Windermere is maybe half an hour, depending on traffic. If you want a stately home, Holker Hall is very close. For transport, Cark train station is a couple of minutes down the road.
Facilities: there's a woodburner, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking for one car right outside.
