Sunrae House

Sunrae House is in Flookburgh, which is a small fishing village on the Cumbrian side of Morecambe Bay. It's a detached house with its own parking at the front.

The house sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and has things like a dishwasher and a wood burner. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. There's a hot tub on a decked bit out there.

Inside, it's open plan on the ground floor. Kitchen, dining area, and living space all in one room. The stairs are fine. One bedroom has bunks that sleep three, and the main one has a super king bed.

Flookburgh itself has the basics: a post office, a bakery, a general store, a pub, and a chippy. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Grange-over-Sands. It's a quiet village.

You're well placed for getting into the Lakes. The southern end of Lake Windermere is about a ten minute drive. Cartmel is very close, famous for its priory and the sticky toffee pudding. It's also got a racecourse.

This is good coastal and estuary walking country. You can walk out onto the sands at low tide, but you need to be careful and check the tide times. The Lake District National Park authority site has good safety advice. For local attractions, Visit Cumbria has reliable information.

In terms of facilities, it's all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels included. It says one well-behaved pet is allowed. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
