Micklethorn is a detached house in Broughton, right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. It's set back from the A59, so you've got that main road for getting about, but it's quiet where it is.
It sleeps nine people in six bedrooms, with three bathrooms. There are two staircases, which is handy with a full house. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a big, comfortable family house. The stairs are normal, not too steep.
The kitchen is a good size for everyone to sit around. There are two living rooms, and a separate library room if someone wants a bit of quiet. Down in the basement there's a room set up for kids, with art things provided. The garden at the front is a large lawn.
You're welcome to walk on the Broughton Hall estate grounds, just across the main road. Less than a mile's walk.
Skipton is about four miles away. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops, and a leisure centre. You can get to Bolton Abbey, Grassington, and Ilkley within half an hour. The other way on the A59 takes you into Lancashire, with the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland also within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a barbecue and bike storage. The local pub serving food is about a mile away.
