Rosemount Cottage is in Salterforth, on a quiet lane. It's a semi-detached stone cottage, built in the mid-1700s. We've renovated it, so everything works and it's comfortable. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's in very good order.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. We allow one well-behaved dog. The stairs are steep, which is normal for a place this old.
There's a pub about 200 yards down the lane. Barnoldswick is a mile away, that's where you'll find the shops, a few cafes and restaurants. There's a weekly market there too.
The Leeds Liverpool Canal is a couple of minutes' walk. You can follow the towpath towards Foulridge one way or Barnoldswick the other. It's flat and good for a stroll.
You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales here. Yorkshire Dales National Park is about a 20 minute drive. The Ribble Valley and the Trough of Bowland are also close by for driving or walking. If you wanted a longer trip, the Lake District is doable for a day out.
In the cottage there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a small patio garden out the back. Parking is on the lane outside.
