Ivy Cottage

Ivy Cottage is in Broughton, a small village in North Yorkshire. It's at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. It's a traditional stone terrace cottage, so it's not big, but it does for two people.

It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. The bedroom is upstairs with a kingsize bed. There's a bathroom upstairs too, with a shower over the bath. The stairs are cottage stairs, a bit narrow and steep.

Downstairs is open-plan, a living space and kitchen together. There's a wood-burning stove which makes it cosy. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Outside the front, across the lane, is your own private garden with a patio and a BBQ.

As part of staying here, you get access to a huge private rewilding estate next door. It's thousands of acres of woods, moorland and river. You can walk or cycle straight from the cottage onto the trails. There's no charge, you just get the key.

The local pub is about a five-minute walk. It does food. For other shops and places, you'd drive. Skipton, the market town, is about fifteen minutes away by car.

You're right by some good Dales spots. Grassington is maybe twenty minutes' drive, a nice village to wander around. Kettlewell is a bit further on. Kilnsey Crag is nearby if you want to watch climbers. There are walks everywhere, straight from the door or a short drive away.

The cottage has parking for one car, and there's an electric vehicle charger. You can bring one dog. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
