The Manse
The Manse is in Broughton, north of Skipton. It's a proper old vicarage, but we fully renovated it in 2021. We kept the original fireplaces and things. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom.
The kitchen is new. There's an orangery off the back that looks out over the walled garden and the fields. The garden has some raised beds with herbs in.
You get access to the Broughton Sanctuary estate with your stay. It's about 3,000 acres of rewilding land. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. There are ancient woods and rivers. It's very quiet.
There's a pub about 500 yards away, through the estate grounds. They do food. The nearest shop is about three and a half miles away in Skipton.
Grassington is about twelve miles into the Dales. Kettlewell is a bit further on. Good for walking and there are some decent country pubs around there. Kilnsey Crag is popular with climbers if you want to watch.
Inside, there's a cosy living room and a separate small study if you need a bit of quiet. We've put in a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and there's parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. We allow one well-behaved dog.
