Owl Cotes Cottage is a converted barn, on its own in the fields, just opposite my house. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The space is open plan downstairs. The stairs to the bedroom are a bit steep. You get a private patio area out the front with a table and chairs.
There's a footpath right behind the cottage that takes you down into Lothersdale village and out onto the moors. You can start a walk from the door. The pub and a restaurant are about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is in Cowling, two miles.
Skipton is six miles. That's where you'll find the castle, the canal, and most of the shops you'd need. It's a proper market town.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are about half an hour's drive. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is about twenty minutes away. York is just under an hour if you fancy a day in the city.
What's here: your own parking space, WiFi, a TV, bike storage, all your bedding and towels. The shower is in the en-suite. Everything's included in the price. No pets, I'm afraid.
