Owl Cotes Cottage is in Lothersdale. It’s a converted barn at the side of our house, detached, so it's just you. It looks out over fields.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means the fittings are good and it's well kept. The bed is up on a mezzanine floor, so the stairs to it are quite steep and open.
The main space downstairs is all open plan. You've got the kitchen, a table, and the sofa area. The bathroom is down there too. There are bi-fold doors that open onto your own patio with a table and chairs. It gets the evening sun.
You can walk straight from the door. There’s a footpath behind the property that goes down into Lothersdale village. You can carry on from there. For longer drives, Skipton market town is about six miles away. They've got a castle and the canal. The whole of the Yorkshire Dales is on your doorstep. You can get to the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth in under half an hour.
For facilities: everything you’d expect is included - wifi, TV, towels, bedding, parking right outside. There’s bike storage if you bring them. No pets, sorry.
