Moorgate Cottage
Moorgate Cottage is one of three barn conversions on our farm in Kelbrook. It's detached. You're right next to our house and the other holiday barns, but the garden is private and enclosed. The views from the back are over the fields towards Pendle Hill. We run a sheep and beef farm here, so you'll see the animals about.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. Everything's open plan on the ground floor. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner for colder nights.
The village centre, with a shop and a pub, is about a five minute walk. The pub does food. You can start walks straight from the cottage door into the countryside. There's a golf course nearby if that's your thing.
Skipton is about nine miles away. It's a proper market town with a castle, good shops, and the market days are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Clitheroe and the Forest of Bowland are about ten miles in the other direction. The Trough of Bowland is a beautiful drive.
You're close to the border here, so both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lancashire coast are within a 30 minute drive. Morecambe Bay and the Ribble Valley are easy to get to.
In terms of what's here: there's a private hot tub in the garden, a BBQ, a dishwasher and washing machine, WiFi, and parking for two cars right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
