Admergill Lodge
Admergill Lodge is in Blacko, on a hillside looking out over farms and fields. It's detached and you've got the place to yourselves. It's a 5 Star lodge, which means it's been done to a high standard.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. They're upstairs and they connect to each other, which is handy if you've got kids. The beds can be reconfigured as singles if you need. One bathroom, with both a big walk-in shower and a free-standing bath.
Downstairs is open plan. The kitchen has everything, including a dishwasher and underfloor heating. The wood burner is double sized, so it throws out a lot of heat. The patio doors open right up in summer.
The Pendle Way footpath runs right past the property. You can walk out the door and be on it. A pub that does food is about a five-minute walk down the lane.
The area is known for the Pendle Witches history. You see references to it in villages like Barley and Roughlee, which are a short drive away. The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on the doorstep. For a longer drive, the Yorkshire Dales are about half an hour.
Barrowford village is close. It has a good mix of shops and a few places to eat. The Leeds-Liverpool Canal runs through it. For a big day out, Haworth and Skipton are both within reasonable driving distance.
Facilities: everything listed is there. WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included.
