Hen House

This is the Hen House in Barley, Lancashire. It's a semi-detached cottage, rebuilt from an old farm building in 2020.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The finish is clean and new, with stone and slate to match the old buildings here.

You're right at the bottom of Pendle Hill. The village has two pubs and a restaurant, all about a mile away. They do food. There's a shop in the village too.

The Forest of Bowland starts pretty much from the garden gate. It's good walking and cycling country. The Walking with Witches trail and the Pendle Sculpture Trail start nearby. If you want to climb Pendle Hill, this is the place to start from.

You can drive to Clitheroe or Skipton in under half an hour. Both have castles. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are about an hour away by car.

The cottage has a patio and an enclosed garden. Parking for two cars. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
