The View
The View is a lodge on Pendle View Holiday Park, near Barrow. It's one of two lodges we've got. They were built in 2022. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and in good condition.
The lodge is detached and set around some fishing lakes. You get exclusive fishing rights here if you're into that. There's a decking area at the front and back, with outdoor furniture.
Inside it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a Tassimo coffee machine. We include the bedding and towels. There's WiFi and parking.
You can bring up to two dogs.
The views are the main thing. You look straight out at Pendle Hill and the lakes. It's quiet here, set back from the A59 road.
For supplies, there's a Co-op supermarket and a petrol station just over the road. The villages of Barrow and Whalley are about a mile away. Whalley has an abbey and a few shops and pubs.
Clitheroe is two miles away. It's a market town with a castle, some good shops, and places to eat. The Forest of Bowland is right on the doorstep for walks and cycling.
Within about a half hour drive you can get to Preston or over to Skipton, which is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Fylde Coast, including Blackpool, is about 45 minutes away.
