Bramble Cottage is a converted barn on our sheep farm in Wiswell. It’s in the Forest of Bowland, which is a National Landscape. You get views over the fields from the garden.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and has everything you’d need. You can bring one dog.
The cottage is semi-detached, joined to another holiday let called The Barn. You have your own garden with a barbecue. It’s a working farm, so you’ll see sheep. There’s parking right there.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It’s got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You can walk straight out from the door onto the bridle path. For a proper walk, you’re in the Forest of Bowland. Whalley village is two miles away. It’s got nice shops, cafes, and a few pubs that do food. There’s a golf course about a mile away that’s open to visitors.
Clitheroe is close, about ten minutes by car. That’s where the castle is. For days out, the Forest of Bowland site has good walk ideas. Pendle Hill is right there if you know the history. Gawthorpe Hall is about half an hour away. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are both doable for a day trip, within an hour’s drive.
