Harpers Cottage is in Fence, which is a small village on Wheatley Lane. It's a mid-terrace house, so you've got neighbours either side. The garden's at the back and it's enclosed. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are open tread and a bit steep, right enough. They wind round too. You'll want to be a bit careful.
There's a shop about 200 yards away. A good pub called The White Swan is about 700 yards up the lane. They've even got a Michelin star if you fancy that sort of thing. Plenty of other pubs around too.
You're right at the bottom of Pendle Hill here. The walking is very good. The Forest of Bowland starts just there. For a proper day out, Clitheroe and Skipton are both less than half an hour's drive. They're decent market towns.
The Lake District is about an hour away if you want to go that far. The coast at Blackpool or Lytham is about the same.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cool evenings, a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. No pets, I'm afraid.
