Harpers Cottage
Harpers Cottage is on Wheatley Lane in Fence, Lancashire. It's mid-terraced. You get an enclosed garden which is handy. It's right at the foot of Pendle Hill.
The cottage sleeps three. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after, cleanly decorated, and comfortable. Everything works.
There's a shop about 200 yards away. The pub and restaurant are about 700 yards up the road. That restaurant has a Michelin star, which is unusual for round here. You'd want to book well ahead.
The area is really for walking. Pendle Hill is right there, about three miles away. The story of the Pendle Witches is local history. You can walk up to the summit. Clitheroe is a market town about 15 minutes' drive. It's got a castle and normal shops. Skipton, another market town, is about half an hour away going into Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Dales are about a 30 minute drive north east.
Further out, you can get to the Fylde Coast or the edge of the Lake District in under an hour if you fancy a longer day trip.
Facilities wise: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets.
