Harans Vardo is in Altham, Lancashire. It's a proper, decorated Romany wagon, set in its own bit of a field. You get a patio area with a firepit and a stone pizza oven to use.
It sleeps two, maybe three if one of you is small. There's a double bed and a single bunk at one end. You need to know the single bunk has very limited headroom. It's really for a child.
The Vardo itself has a wood burner to keep you warm and a kettle. There's a small kitchenette for basics. Your shower and a compost toilet are in a separate wooden hut a few steps away.
It's a 4 Star place, which here means it's clean, comfortable and well looked after, but it's glamping. You're in a beautiful wagon, not a house. You should be happy with that.
You're welcome to bring one dog.
The village is quiet. The nearest pub and a shop are about three quarters of a mile down the road. For walking, you're in a good spot. Pendle Hill is close by for a proper hike with all its history. The Forest of Bowland is about a 20 minute drive and has miles of paths. You can get to the Yorkshire Dales or into Preston in under an hour if you want a change of scene.
What's here: wood burner, bedding and towels included, the pizza oven outside, a BBQ, and parking right next to the Vardo.
