Hen House View 2 is in Haslingden, up on the hills. It's one of two identical semi-detached houses on the same site.
It's all on one floor, which is good if you don't want stairs. It sleeps eight people. There are three bedrooms, all with their own shower room. There's also a small snug room with a sofa bed, and a separate family bathroom with a tub. The windows are massive. You get a long view over the fields.
It's open plan. The kitchen, dining area and living room are all in one big space. It's a social set up. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The buildings are set within about 30 acres of farmland. You've got your own outdoor space at the back, but you need to stay within the boundary of the house.
Haslingden has shops and takeaways. Rawtenstall is three miles away for a bigger supermarket. The towns of Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall have restaurants and pubs.
You're on the edge of the West Pennine Moors for walking. It's about a 25 minute drive to get into the Forest of Bowland proper. For a day out, Hardcastle Crags near Hebden Bridge is good, and that's within half an hour. Manchester city centre is about 40 minutes by car if you drive.
The place has a 4 Star rating. Towels and bedding are included. There's parking.
