Courtyard Cottage
Courtyard Cottage is in Water, Lancashire. It's a quiet village off the main road, on the edge of Rossendale. You get two bedrooms but they say it sleeps six, so there are sofa beds or bunks. One bathroom, which has a shower over the bath.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's got decent facilities and should be clean. It's open plan downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped. You can actually cook there. There's a dishwasher too.
The garden is at the back and it's enclosed. There's a patio with furniture and a BBQ. They have an electric car charger on site, which is handy.
You're on a working farm. The washing machine and extra storage are in a shared courtyard outbuilding. You just need to ask for the key.
The local pub is in Lumb, a short walk away. It's a proper village pub. Rawtenstall is about four miles for bigger shops. The East Lancashire Railway runs from there if you like steam trains.
For getting out, you're well placed. The Forest of Bowland is right there. You can be at Bolton Abbey in about half an hour. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is within a 30 minute drive to the north. Preston is about the same to the west.
Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage. On-site parking. They take up to two dogs. This cottage can be booked with the one next door if you've got a bigger group.
