Courtyard Cottage is in Water, near the village of Lumb in Rossendale. It's a standalone cottage on a working farm. You get your own parking spot right outside.
It sleeps six people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The layout is open plan downstairs, so the kitchen, dining and living area are all in one room.
The garden is out the back, it's enclosed and there's furniture. There's also a BBQ. One thing to note, the washing machine is in a separate outbuilding in the courtyard. You just need to ask for the key when you arrive.
Lumb village is quiet. It's got a pub and a shop. The East Lancashire Railway runs through Rawtenstall, which is about four miles away. You can get a steam train from there.
You're right on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. Bolton Abbey is about a 30 minute drive. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also within half an hour. Preston is a bit closer if you need a bigger town.
In terms of facilities, there's a dishwasher, TV, and bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's also an electric vehicle charger. You can book the cottage next door as well if you need space for more people.
