Foxstones Farm House is near Burnley, in a village called Cliviger. It's one of three cottages in a building that was a farm from the 1600s. Our family's looked after it for a long time. It's very quiet here.
The house sleeps five. There are three bedrooms. One has a king-size bed, another has two singles, and the third has a single. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped but it's an old house, not a show home.
You've got a front garden with a table and chairs, and a BBQ. There's an enclosed courtyard at the back too. Parking is on site.
Inside, the stairs are stone and a bit steep in places, mind your step. The kitchen has a big electric Aga. It's great for cooking and heats the place in winter. There's a separate utility room with a washer and dryer.
The village has a shop, a petrol station, and a couple of pubs. You're about half an hour's drive from the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland if you want proper walks. Manchester and the coast at Blackpool are under an hour away if you fancy a day out.
Pets are allowed, up to two. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
