The Stable
The Stable is on our farm near Wiswell. It's the one that's on its own, not joined to the others. It's quiet.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a proper double bed. The shower room is through there, off the bedroom. It's got the 4 Star rating.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen at one end, sofa and TV at the other. That's it really. It's compact. The ceiling is high because it was, well, a stable.
You look out over the fields. We keep sheep, so you'll see them. Sometimes you can hear them too. It's a working farm so there's tractors and things during the day. It's not loud though.
You can bring one dog. There's a field path from the gate if you want to walk. For longer walks, you're right in the Forest of Bowland. The Trough of Bowland road is about a twenty minute drive.
Whalley village is two miles down the lane. There's a shop, couple of pubs, a cafe. The nearest one does food. Clitheroe is about ten minutes in the car. It's got a castle, shops, a market. You've got everything there.
You're about half an hour from the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Or you can be in Preston in twenty five minutes if you need a big town.
Facilities wise, it's got what's on the list. WiFi, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a cot in the cupboard if you need them. The boiler is in there too, so it makes a noise sometimes when it comes on.
