The Granary Barrow

The Granary is in Barrow, which is a small village just outside Clitheroe. It's a converted barn, semi-detached. There's a good sized garden with a patio, it's enclosed and private.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, not particularly old-fashioned inside. The main living space is open plan, with the kitchen at one end. There's a wood burning stove in the middle of the room. It heats the place well.

Clitheroe town centre is about a mile away. That's an easy walk if you want to, or a very short drive. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops, cafes and a few restaurants. There's a supermarket there too. There's a pub in the village, about a mile walk, and a restaurant about half a mile away.

For walks, you're right on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pendle Hill is very close, that's a well-known walk. The Ribble Valley itself is good for cycling. The Tolkien Trail starts at Stonyhurst College, which isn't far.

If you've got kids, Bowland Wild Boar Park is about ten miles away. Blackpool is within an hour's drive if you wanted a day at the coast or the Pleasure Beach.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for a couple of cars right outside.
