The Granary
The Granary is in Barrow, just outside Clitheroe. It's a converted barn, sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
You're in the countryside here. It's quiet. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You can get two well-behaved dogs in. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, dining, and sitting area all together. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included, and we leave a cot and highchair if you need them.
Clitheroe town centre is about a mile away. You can walk it if you like. It's a proper market town. There's a castle, shops, pubs, and places to eat. The local pub is about a half mile walk.
For days out, you're right in the Ribble Valley. Good walking country. Pendle Hill is close. The Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and starts on your doorstep. For a family trip, Bowland Wild Boar Park is about ten miles away.
If you want to go further, you can reach the coast in under an hour. Blackpool is about 45 minutes by car. The motorway links are good from here.
