Lake View is a lodge on Pendle View Holiday Park, near Barrow in Lancashire. It's one of two we have here, set around three lakes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's detached. The living area is open plan. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included, as is the electricity.
You have your own decking front and back. There's a picnic table out the back and a rattan sofa at the front. There's a storage box that will fit a few bikes. The view from the front is over the lake towards Pendle Hill.
The park used to be a fishery. If you're into fishing, you have exclusive rights to the lakes here. You can also use them for paddling or messing about in a rowboat if you bring one.
The site is just off the A59. Over the road there's a Co-op, a petrol station, and a few places to eat. The village of Whalley, which has shops and pubs, is about a mile away. Clitheroe is two miles. It's an old market town with a castle and some interesting shops. Forest of Bowland is right on the doorstep for walking.
You can be in Preston in half an hour. Skipton and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales are about the same drive the other way. The Lake District is under an hour. The coast at Blackpool or Lytham St Annes is about 45 minutes.
We allow up to two dogs. There's parking right next to the lodge.
