The Barn
The Barn is on our farm, near Wiswell. It's a semi-detached place we converted from an old farm building, attached to Bramble Cottage. You get views across our fields. We've got sheep, so you'll see them about. The farm is about 170 acres. It's quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which helps with a full house. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not posh. Everything's clean and works.
You can walk straight out from the door onto the farm tracks and bridle paths. The Forest of Bowland area is all around. It's good for walking and cycling. We've got bicycle storage if you bring them.
Whalley village is two miles down the road. That's where the shop is, and a few pubs and cafes. The nearest golf course is about a mile away and takes visitors. Clitheroe isn't far either, maybe ten minutes' drive. It's got a castle and a few shops.
If you want a day out, Brockholes Nature Reserve is about twenty minutes by car. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are both within an hour's drive if you fancy going further.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
We don't allow pets, sorry. The farm dogs live here and it keeps things simpler.
