Tilly Cottage is in the village of Barrowford, near Burnley in Lancashire. It's an end-of-terrace cottage on a quiet lane. You look out over fields towards Pendle Hill.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've updated it inside but kept the old beams and the fireplace. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner.
There's a pub about a minute's walk away. A good cafe for breakfast is just up the road. Barrowford village centre is a mile and a half away. It has some nice independent shops. The bigger market town of Clitheroe is about a twenty-minute drive.
You can walk straight from the door into the fields. For a proper hike, Pendle Hill is close by. The villages of Roughlee and Barley are a short drive and are the usual starting points.
The Forest of Bowland is about a fifteen-minute drive. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Forest of Bowland. The Ribble Valley is right there too, with lots of walking and cycling.
Skipton is twenty-five minutes away. Bolton Abbey is about half an hour. If you fancied a day out to the Lakes, Windermere is just over an hour by the scenic route.
For facilities, all the utilities are included. There's a TV and WiFi. All bedding and towels are provided.
