Hollin Bank Cottage
Hollin Bank Cottage is in Salterforth. It's part of an old stone barn that we converted, and we live next door. You come down a private drive to get to it. The view from the garden looks east towards the Pennines and north to the Yorkshire Dales.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star property. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The conversion kept some of the original features, so the walls are thick and the windowsills are deep.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog. Sorry, we don't take pets. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included.
It's quiet here. You'll hear birds and sheep. At night, it's properly dark and you can see lights from farms across the valley.
You can walk straight from the door. The Lancashire Way, Pendle Way, and the canal are all minutes away. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal is just down the hill. The Pennine Way is about a ten-minute drive.
Barnoldswick is close for shops. Skipton is twenty minutes away. It's a market town with a castle, good shops, and a market. For a longer day out, the Lake District is under an hour and a half. Blackpool is about an hour by motorway. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is within half an hour.
