Foxtales

Foxtales is in Gisburn village. It's a cottage from the 1600s, so it's old and has thick stone walls. It's got a four-star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-looked after.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a double bed. The other has a single bed with a trundle and a pull-out bed, so you can set it up as a double or as two singles. One bathroom has a shower, the other has a small bath.

You come into the living and dining room. There's a stone fireplace with an electric stove. The dining table converts into a pool table, which is a bit of fun if the weather turns. The kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine.

There's no garden, but you can park right outside. The village shop, a deli, and a couple of pubs are a short walk away. They're all dog friendly. We accept up to four pets.

You're in the Ribble Valley here. Pendle Hill is a short drive for a walk. For a longer day out, the Forest of Bowland is close by. The coast at Morecambe Bay is about 45 minutes drive. Lancaster, Preston, and the Yorkshire Dales are all within an hour.

What's included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a TV, a cot and highchair if needed. The electricity and utilities are covered.

If you're planning walks or visits, the Forestry England site for Bowland is useful, as is the Yorkshire Dales National Park site.
