Acre Hill Lodge is on a working farm in Harrop Fold. It's a single-storey lodge, so everything's on one level. You'll see hens and ducks wandering about, and there are farm cats. Dogs need to be kept on a lead because of the livestock.
It sleeps four people in three bedrooms. There's a bunk bed in one room, which has a TV. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden at the front is enclosed. You can sit out there with your dogs. There's parking for two cars right by the lodge, and space for a third in the main farm drive if you need it.
Inside, it's all open plan. There's a kitchen, a living area with a wood burner, and the bedrooms leading off. It's straightforward.
The nearest proper village is Bolton-by-Bowland, a short drive away. It has a shop, tea rooms, and a couple of pubs. Clitheroe is your main town for bigger shops and restaurants.
You're right on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, so walking and cycling is on the doorstep. It's a good base for the Ribble Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. The Lake District is about an hour's drive if you fancy a longer day out.
In terms of what's here, you've got the wood burner, the enclosed garden, a BBQ, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. Up to four dogs are allowed.
