Adair Cottage
This is Adair Cottage. It's in Mere Syke, Lancashire. We're up a quiet lane, next to our own house. The views are over fields.
It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished. The kitchen was made by a local joiner.
You can walk straight from the door. The Forest of Bowland area is right here. For a bigger walk, the Yorkshire Dales aren't far. The famous Three Peaks are about a 30 minute drive if you want a proper challenge.
The nearest pub doing food is about two miles away. Settle is the closest proper town, about seven miles. It's a nice market town with a few shops and cafes. You can get the Settle to Carlisle railway from there. The line goes over the Ribblehead Viaduct.
Skipton and Clitheroe are each about 14 miles if you need more shops. The Lake District is just over an hour's drive if you fancied a day out there.
There's a woodburning stove for chilly evenings. The garden is enclosed. We include all bedding and towels. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
