The Swaledale Hut
The Swaledale Hut is on our farm in Rathmell. It's a shepherds hut, but a big one. It sleeps four, with a proper double bed at one end and bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
It's set up along a private track, so it feels quiet. You look out over fields and the dales. There's a table and chairs outside your hut. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Being a hut, it's all open plan inside. It's warm and has everything you need, but it is a single space. The stairs up to the bunk beds are more like a ladder. They're sturdy, but they are steep.
You're right on the Ribble Way footpath here, so you can just step out and walk. The farm is a working sheep and beef farm, so you'll see animals around. For a pub, The Ascroft in Rathmell is about a ten minute walk.
Settle is a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with shops and cafes. Skipton is about twenty five minutes. The Yorkshire Dales National Park starts on your doorstep. You can be at Malham Cove in under half an hour, or Ribblehead Viaduct in about twenty minutes.
It has WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars right by the hut.
