Right, so this is May Cottage. It's in Settle, up in North Yorkshire. It's on the hill, detached, so no neighbours through the walls. You've got your own garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One's a double and the other has adult-sized bunk beds. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after. It's on three floors, like a lot of these old places. The stairs are fine, but you'll notice them.
You come in at the kitchen level. It's got what you need: dishwasher, washing machine in a utility room next door. Downstairs is the living room. It's a good size, with doors out to the garden. There's a decent TV and a gas fire that looks like a wood burner. Outside, there's a patio with a barbecue and a little summer room we use for bike storage.
The town centre is about five minutes' walk. There are a couple of pubs that do food and a few shops. You can get the basics there.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Good walking straight from the door. The Settle to Carlisle railway line goes through here; the station's in town. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has walking routes. Malham Cove is about a twenty-minute drive. The Forest of Bowland is the other way, maybe half an hour. Skipton's about eleven miles if you need a bigger town.
In terms of what's here: the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. The garden is enclosed. The entrance has level access, but the garden is down steps from the living room. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're looking at things to do, the National Trust for Yorkshire has their properties listed, like Malham.
