Ivy Cottage
Ivy Cottage is in Giggleswick. It's right in the middle of the village so you're close to everything. It used to be the stable block for an old inn, which is why the front looks a bit like that.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The facilities are all straightforward. Washing machine, dishwasher, parking. There's a woodburning stove for the colder evenings. Bedding and towels are included, and the electricity is part of the price.
You're a few minutes' walk from a supermarket, which is handy. There are two pubs in the village and you can get a train from Settle station, about a mile away.
The location is really the main thing. Lots of people come here for walking. It's got those official welcome awards for walkers and cyclists, which means you can get maps here and there's space for wet boots and kit. The Yorkshire Dales are on your doorstep.
Settle is a good market town, less than a mile away. There's a pool there, and a golf course. You can drive to Malham Cove and Gordale Scar in about twenty minutes. Ingleton Falls and the Three Peaks area are also within half an hour.
