Ivy Cottage
Ivy Cottage is in Giggleswick, right in the middle of the village. It used to be the stable block for an old pub. You're about a fifteen minute walk from Settle, which is the proper market town with most of the shops.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. We've got the wood burner, which is nice in the evenings, and there's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The parking is on site, just out the front.
There's a local supermarket, and two pubs within easy walking distance. One does food. Settle has a swimming pool and there's a golf course nearby too. It's handy for the station if you're arriving by train.
The cottage has those awards for walkers and cyclists. It mostly means we've tried to make it practical, with a place for boots and wet coats.
You're right in the Yorkshire Dales here. Good walking straight from the door. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are about a twenty minute drive. The Three Peaks are on your doorstep if that's your thing. You can drive to Ingleton for the waterfalls in about half an hour.
