Bridge End

Bridge End is in Long Preston. It's a stone end-terrace cottage, set back a bit from the road. There's a river that runs alongside it. You can hear it.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not grand.

Important bit: the stairs. They're mentioned on the listing for a reason. They're narrow and cottagey, and there's a second flight up to the top bedroom. Fine for most, but something to be aware of.

There are two wood burners. One in the living room, one in the kitchen diner. The kitchen is well equipped, has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a TV in the main bedroom as well as the living room.

The garden is a small, enclosed patio at the back. It gets the sun in the evening. Looks out over fields.

Long Preston itself has a post office and shop, and two pubs. Both are a short walk and do food. You're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park from the doorstep.

There's a bike store that can take six bikes. The area is big for cycling and walking. The Three Peaks are nearby if that's your kind of thing.

Settle is a short drive. It's a proper market town with shops. You can get the Settle-Carlisle railway from there. It's a famous line, goes over the Ribblehead Viaduct. Skipton is also within half an hour. It has a castle and a canal.

You're well placed for the Lakes as well, maybe an hour's drive to the southern bits.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. WiFi is there.
