This is the Grange Holiday Home in Hellifield. It's attached to the main house we live in, alongside a couple of converted barns. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything's relatively new and it's well-equipped.
You've got your own garden, which is lawned and enclosed. There's a patio with furniture. The hot tub is out there too. Inside, the kitchen is a farmhouse style with a big table. The living room is spacious, with a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a utility room with a washing machine and a Belfast sink, which is useful for boots or dogs. We don't accept pets, I'm afraid, but the sink's there anyway. There's parking and bike storage.
The stairs are fine. Upstairs, the main bedroom is a double and we can put an extra single bed in there if needed. There's another double and a single room. The family bathroom has a large shower. Outside, by the hot tub, there's an additional toilet and shower.
Hellifield is a small village. The local pub does real ale and food, and there's a cafe too. There's a shop and a good butcher about five minutes' walk away. The train station is interesting if you like that sort of thing, it's Victorian and sometimes has steam trains. There are natural ponds called the Flashes nearby for birdwatching.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Settle and Skipton are about a ten-minute drive. Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss are spectacular and well worth a visit. It's popular walking country, including for the Three Peaks Challenge.
