Two Hoots

Two Hoots is a bungalow in Wigglesworth. It's next to our house but you have your own place and garden. It's all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. It sleeps two, one bedroom with an ensuite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the location. You're at the end of a quiet lane. The view from the garden is just fields and hills. The Ribble Way footpath runs right past the end of the garden. There's a bird hide on it, because the river floodplain out front is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. You'll see a lot of birds.

It's good for walking and cycling. You're between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. The Pennine Bridleway and Gisburn Forest for mountain biking are very close. The local pub is about half a mile away. They do food.

Settle is about four miles. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat. The Settle to Carlisle railway is there. Skipton is nine miles if you need bigger shops. It's known as the gateway to the Dales.

The cottage has a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking. It's wheelchair accessible. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

If you're planning walks or days out: Yorkshire Dales National Park and Forest of Bowland.
