Summerfield Bungalow
Summerfield Bungalow is in Mere Syke, which is out towards the Trough of Bowland. It's a detached bungalow next to our house, so we're here if you need anything but we'll leave you to it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated, so everything is new and it's quite open plan inside. There's a woodburning stove for the colder months. The garden is enclosed and there's parking right outside.
You can walk straight out from the door into the fields and lanes. You're right between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. Yorkshire Dales National Park is on one side and the Forest of Bowland AONB is on the other. The Ingleton Waterfalls walk is about a 25 minute drive. The Three Peaks are within half an hour if that's your sort of challenge.
The nearest shop is in Clapham, about 4 miles. The nearest pub is at the Cross Keys in Austwick, 2 miles away, and they do food. Settle is 7 miles. It's a proper market town with a few shops and cafes, and the station for the Settle to Carlisle railway.
Inside, the kitchen is new. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi works fine. There's a TV. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
If you want to go further, Skipton or Clitheroe are about 30 minutes by car for bigger shops. The Lake District is just over an hour if you fancy a day out there.
