Barn House is in Giggleswick. It's a three bedroom house that sleeps six with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up pretty well but it isn't a show home. You can bring two dogs.
The place looks out over fields. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it's good for kids or dogs. There's a patio with a barbecue and a wood burning stove inside for the cooler evenings.
It's about 170 yards to the nearest pub. They do food. The village shop is half a mile away. Settle is just down the road, maybe a five minute drive. It's got a few more shops and places to eat.
If you like walking, you can step straight out onto the footpaths. Giggleswick Scar is right there. The Three Peaks area is close by for a bigger walk. The Ingleton Waterfalls walk and White Scar Caves are both within about twenty minutes' drive.
The Settle to Carlisle railway runs through here. You can get on at Settle station. The train goes over the Ribblehead Viaduct, which is worth seeing. You can also drive to it in about fifteen minutes.
Inside, there's the wood burner, a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bike storage. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive.
