Crooklands Cottage

Crooklands Cottage is a bungalow in Austwick. It's detached, with its own garden and parking right outside.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's all on one level, so there are no stairs at all. The doors are wide and the showers are walk-in, so it works well for wheelchair users or anyone who finds steps difficult. One bathroom has a deep Japanese soaking tub as well.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, sofas and a wood burner all in one space. It's a good room for everyone to be together. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are provided.

Austwick village is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a post office, and two places that do food - the pub and the hotel. Both are decent.

For walks, you're right in it. Ingleborough is basically on the doorstep if you're doing the Three Peaks. The village is quiet but you're only a short drive from Settle, Ingleton, or Clapham. Ingleton has the Waterfalls Walk and White Scar Cave. Kirkby Lonsdale is about twenty minutes south.

If you want to drive a bit further, you can get into the Lake District in under an hour. Skipton is about half an hour the other way.
